Anyone have the OEM oil filter wrench tool? (or which brand/type do you use)
I need a wrench tool for the filter, but from this picture
at honda-accessories of the OEM filter wrench they sell, I can't determine how exactly the tool is used. Is this to be used with a standard ratchet? or is there some other special tool required?
or, which filter wrench do you guys use (brand and location to get) for the OEM s2k filters (15400-PCX-004)?

looks like you just put a wrench on the end of that.
but if you cant take the oil filter off by hand, then you shouldnt be working on cars period.

You use a wrench on the back of the tool. However most dealers are switching to the smaller filters for the new cars since they fit all the older cars too. You will need a smaller tool for that filter. They are a bitch to get a good grip on by hand.
I use a snap on filter wrench BTW.

The honda filters are kinda hard to remove with just your bare hands because there's really nothing to grab onto. I had the tool but the S2000 filter seems abit smaller so I can't use it anymore, also mine didn't have the side cut out like that.

tip: if it is difficult to get off, use sand paper to grip!
yes, I have the wrench. only used it once. it only works on the honda filter too. now I just do it by hand.

yea, i had a pretty hard time getting it off by hand because my hand just slides off the filter because its so smooth. And to tighten i usually have a little oil on my hands after changing the oil so i cant get a good grip.
is the OEM s2k filter wrench cap supposed to have the cutout area on it? the bottom-left filter in the picture looks cutup or somethign as i dont see a spot to use a wrench to remove it.

Once again, there is really no need for this tool because the filter should be hand tightened. I find that the F20C oil filter location is accessible enough that you can get a good grip on it for removal.

when I hand tighten the filter on, it's usually easy to loosen by hand off.
