Hi just bought a prelude and I have had a bunch of Hondas but never messed with the following series motors but it came with a f22 sohc and a friend of mine has a f22 dohc he wants to sell me dirt cheap and I just want to know if I'll need a new tranny or what ? I also would like to know if I can use the tranny what all I would need and how it would run with the sohc tranny ? thank you

Yes it will fit. Direct bolt on. Generally speaking all H/F series transmissions are interchangeable with a few rarely encountered exceptions such as the 97-01 ATTS style trans.

Thank you so much ok I was just making sure I didn't want to drop to much money in this car as it is for my lady and she just wants to go to car meets with me so I found this prelude but I want it to have a little more power
