probably the switch in the steering column that turns on the left or right signal has become damaged somehow.

pick up a helms manual and a multimeter and find out.

if you arnt getting the ticking sound then probably your relay is dead. try to locate a helms and test out the relay.

check if their is any power going to the relay with a multimeter and then check if their is any coming out of it. U can also use a test light.

Hi...
as already said...it's probably the relay...
It's above your in-dash fuse box, i think it's the "biggest" relay among the relays
...in the middle/upper part of the chassis...

I'd agree that it's probably the relay. But, I had the same problem on my 5th gen a few months ago and I tried everything. But, it turned out that there is a red/green turn signal wire coming out of the fuse box in a loom. The wire has an inline diode and the wire had broken loose from that.

the grounds for the lights are located inside the fender, open the hood look behind the headlight, kinda by where the cruise control is, should be a white plug.....might have come loose.....same goes for the other side by the battery, but up farther towads the front, u can't miss it.....its pretty big

It could be that u need a new flasher. They are about 7 bucks.

Where is this located? There is no mention of it in the Helms, and I'm out of ideas to try to fix mine.

Same symptoms as the others - hazards work, turn signals don't (no clicking), relay is good, fuses are good, wiring harness is good, combo switch is good.

I'm not sure where the flasher is located, but from your symptoms/ what you say checks as good. Its most likely your flasher. The flasher is what makes the clicking noise as it opens and closes the circuit, making the lights flash. your flasher is bad if a.) lights stay on (stuck closed) or b.) lights don't work/no click (stuck open)

you could try this site to find the location, but this manual is for a 4th gen.

Isn't the clicking sound made by the relay? (which would make "flasher" just a dumb word for the hazard/turn-signal relay that I've already replaced . . . )

I'm looking at the wiring diagram in my 5th gen Helms right now - I see no evidence of anything called a "flasher". I've had about 50 people suggest to replace this silly thing, but noone seems to be able to explain where the hell it is.

that is possible, but i'm not sure if the prelude has the relay only or the the flasher as well.

they could be listed under different names.

Hmm, okay. I can't recall seeing anything that looks like that, but I'll look again I guess. But in the wiring diagram, there's nothing that could be it - I've accounted for every other part . . . .

Battery --> Underhood fuse --> Ignition Switch --> Turn Signal switch --> Turn Signal Relay --> Turn Signal Lights

yes it is most likely called relay. That's what I was referring to. It should be in the under dash fuse box. Most cars don't have the "Flasher" since they now made it more electronic rather than thermal. That's why in some cars the clicking sounds fake. Anyone heard a new Saab's clicking would know what I mean. They sound like someone with 2 coconut halves banging them together. Replace the relay because Relay=Flasher

Yeah, already replaced that one, though. Thanks anyway . . . .

Someone who's turn signals are working - could you do me a favor & try to figure out exactly where the clicking sound comes from when they're on? I thought it was in that relay, but may be I'm wrong.
