a P72 is a OBD1 GSR ECU. It differs from a P28, in that the P72 can control the IAB's aka the secondary butterflys in the intake manifold, and it is able to use a knock sensor.

there are OBDII p72's well.

Anyway, I remember hondata saying that the P28 was just easier to work with and has a faster processor (?) I'm no expert on this.

AFAIK Hondata and Uberdata should be able to run secondary IABs, so really p72 vs. p28 is more of a knock sensor issue. But if you're doing uberdata/hondata tuning do you really need a knock sensor?

It doesn't really matter because you wouldn't want to run either
of the stock fuel maps with the h22.

the whole point of wanting to use a P72 or P28 on hondata or uberdata is to customize your fuel maps and everything to YOUR car. not just go buy a p72 and plug it in and drive.
