VAFC RPMs of Tach RPMs
Ok I calmed down a bit, but i have a problem. I have the VAFC monitoring on RPM channel 1 ( so I get the big RPM read out.) What I've noticed is that the Tach and VAFC RPM are off. I'd say between the two the VAFC is about 300-500 RPMs lower than the Tach.
So which one is the ture read from the VAFC?....... I know there's been discussions about the fact the stock tach is off somewhat, but before I installed the VAFC VTEC would alway click over at exactly 5600. So it makes me think hmmmmmmm what did the VAFC do to my car

According to the vafc, my switchover point was 5000 rpm, but 5200 on the tach. When I installed it, it was set at 5800, so I brought it down to 5200 on vafc. That was too high, so I brought it down even further to 5000. Is that your concern?

Ok I figured out my shift point. Its about 7800 on the tach, I used the hold function hey that's a pretty neato tool.
One last thing how do you read the pressure read out? i.e. what does it mean when you smash on the gas it goes to -180 and during normal driving its at -650?

thats a very typical problem. when i used to have my s-afc it was off by 1000rpms. Numerous other friends of mine have an error on their v-afc/s-afc/avc-r, why? i have no clue. For some strange reason my avc-r recently just started reading correct values. Why? Like i said, i have NO clue at all.

Re: VAFC RPMs of Tach RPMs (dvp95)
my MAP reading @idle is -555 pretty steady with an AEM intake on my 94 JDM h22a my highest was like -42 or so. The throttle angle in the gauge mode is still the coolest to look at I bought mine just to fix my fuel curve but it ended up bring me from 183WHP to 191WHP, needless to say I was happy. V-AFC gets a
