Default turbocharged 93 prelude spark plug questions

i did a good amount of research and got varied answers but eventually went with ngk coppers gapped to .30

the prelude starts cutting out when it hits anything above 10psi of boost.

the spark plugs i had on before i couldnt remember and got fried so i had to change them.

a tuner in the area says he uses a saab turbo spark plugs on hondas.

are hondas able to take a saab spark plug? and if so is it a good idea?

ngk is the way to go the degree of the plug and the gap all depends on your setup

If it is the same spec, who knows. The NGK coppers in "7" heat range should eb what you use. BRK7E if I remember right.

the question is not the heat range ect, is if a saab spark plug has the same thread pattern and would actually work regardless of type.

Holy christ, go to autozone, open their little book and see what plugs are compatible with what cars. There are seriously 2 different threads for automotive spark plugs, but there are many different heat ranges, gaps, lengths etc, that is what your differences will be.

right there.

they come gapped to .030". but check double check them. I run those in my hatch.

If you already have the plugs gapped correctly, my next question is what spark plug wires are you running?

Ok those are the plugs that most would say to use in there.
Time for more questions:

What fuel are you on.

What tuning system.

Who tuned it.

What injector size, and duty cycle are you at.

Do you have a wideband on the car, and the capability to log it if so?

And I am from Golden, so I know the area well!

untuned 550 injectors 225 fuel pump no wideband.

it ran perfectly fine before but it sat for winter and now that its summer i tried starting it up and it just started taking a dump and refuses to act right.

i thought it was just bad fuel but i drained and puit new fuel in and its still acting the same

no tuning, bigger injectors.....come on man use your head!!!!

get it tuned. NEVER drive an engine untuned like this. Muchless put it into boost!!

Contact a tuner ASAP

its running like crap because you are running injectors twice as big as the stock ecu thinks they are. You are dumping fuel into the cylinders which cant be completely burned causing fuel to puddle on top of the piston.

id be very weary of this as well because if you do this long enough, you can fuel wash the cylinder walls of oil and burn up your piston rings causing you to burn oil and lose power and ultimately requiring a rebuild

Call up PFI in Longmont, they should be able to give you some advice, and/ or get you in for a tune.

checking a fuel filter is something you should have been tried when you said you drained the gas. dont blame us for your mistake.
you asked of spark plugs totally opposite of a fuel filter buddy.

you'll be back
