throttle issues? back fire from intake?
hey guys i just traded my 95 accord for a 93 lude, with a h22a1 swap. its pretty much stock other than a cai, ngk wires, and exhaust. any ways i know theres a s**t ton of threads out there about the famous (hesitation) .. but im not wondering about that, wich i have but theres a diff problem. so when i start my car it starts fine the rpms jump to about 2k then lower back down, but if i barley hit the throttle the cars atomaticly throttles to 2k stays for like 2 sec then comes down, if your under the hood and throttle it by hand when it jumps you can hear the intake sucking in air the it makes like this poping noise when it comes down.. the throttle body isnt sticking iv tested the tps and changed the senser, it reads 0.5 at idle and 4.5 wop. i cleand the iac, clean the upper mani, lower mani, replaced gaskets to tb, and both manifolds. it almost sounds like somthings getting stuck open for a second or somthin. when it the rpm raises the air gets sucked in from the hole inside the throttle body in the top left and side right before the main butterfly. could a intake valve be sticking? im stumped cant seem to crack this one so i thought id ask help from yall!! any thoughts would be appreciated thanks!

For the first issue, it's caused by not using shielded wire for the knock sensor when someone does a swap. If you look at your knock sensor it's likely you'll see it's regular wire. This allows radio interference to screw up the knock sensor readings at the ecu. It causes the timing to get messed up, causing a jerking/hesitation.
For the second issue can you describe in detail this popping sound ? Does it really sound out of the ordinary ? Can you make a clear detailed video ?

Check ignition timing and mechanical timing. Backfiring through the intake is caused by a lean running condition, the fuel mixture is being ignited before the spark plug fires and the intake valves have not fully shut. Make sure the fuel is OK, gas is cheap now a days, it wouldn't hurt to drain the fuel and put fresh 93 in it. There is a drain bolt on the tank on the drivers side towards the back of the tank, it takes a 17mm wrench and has a sealing washer similar to one used for the oil drain bolt.
