Default Tein Basic vs. Tein Superstreet

Really the other thing besides the 300 dollar price difference is the amount of adjustment in the system riiiight?
also is the height adjustment the same?

This is my DD and would love to start some weekend track-type stuff.
and being 17 making 6 bucks a hour am really trying to stretch my dollar, but i want the best for my lude.

i have the money for both, but witch system do you think would be best?

If you're working so hard don't waste it on that crap. Buy some good quality shocks like Koni or Bilstein for the same price.

im really wanting just an awesome suspension setup, and since its my daily driver im not wanting to bounce all over the road.
and koni/gc's came to about 800 i think.
and function and form were 850.

is their anything really diff. from the basic to the SS?
i just know that tein has alot of good products out..

anyone have anymore setup suggestions?

Function Form, etc etc is even worse than Tein. Read this:

Koni is a quality damper. In the end, it's your money and what you do with it is entirely up to you. Best of luck.

Your 17 and making 6 dollars an hour, here the best advice you can get. Get a better job. Go bus tables or something, when i was your age i made alot of cash not to mention when you go to college wait tables make more money... then you can buy all the shocks with as many useless ***** as you want.

I ran Tokico Illuminas 5-Way with Neuspeed springs on my 97 for 6 years. I was also on a budget back them...and loved this combo...not sure if Neuspeed offers springs anymore, but Eibach is the way to go these days.

Now I run Tein Flex with the EDFC, great for street, than I can adjust at the track.

If you got the money to buy the SS I suggest getting the GC/Koni Combo.

If you want a nice comfy suspension the SS is very smooth but track wise from all the research I've seen the rear springs are too soft.

The Tein Basic is pretty much just a stiffer strut and allows you to lower your car. It's not crap but in the end you'll be wishing you can adjust the dampening. I use to have some Nuespeed coilovers on my EG and it's nice but I wish I could set the stiffness.

If you're not into all that JDM bling and could live with US and german products then I suggest you get the Koni/GC combo. You can easily find used GC and koni's for sale.

i think i'm gonna grab the SS's but!...

the place i'm ordering them from, it says fits 92-01 honda preludes..

so i'm guessing this setup would be interchangable from 4th to 5th gen. ?
mine is a 93
