Re: Stock Rim Weight?
Thanks, good info in that site. The rims are from a 92 Si.
I dont think either of those two are the exact ones but
it gives me a good idea roughly how much they would weigh.
When i take the tyres off the rims i will be able to check
myself, but dont plan on doing that till i get the new rims.

Re: Stock Rim Weight?
Thanks for clarifying that. They sure are heavy rims.
Another good reason to get some new light ones on the Prelude.

Most people can't appreciate what lowering unsprung weight does.....
You can also go from an OEM 205/55/15 to a 225/50/15 and maintain the same tire diameter! Total of 40mm more tire on the ground in the front and back!

Yeah, i think new lighter rims are a good investment. Bye bye 'super durables'.
They have done a good job for the last 17 years but its taken its toll. My spare
is stuffed, and my left rear has a slight buckle.

Two of my tyres are also pretty much slicks now, so i am looking forward to
having some new rubber all round too. They are really grippy when its hot and dry
but a bit of water on the roads and i have to go real easy.

Yeah i will definately be gettin some quality tyres, i had some cheap ones on my
first car and they were useless and dangerous imo. Since then i have only got
good tyres, for all my cars, its well worth the extra money.

It's amazing how much of a difference good tires can make, especially up here with all the rain! I have Eagle F1-GSD3's, and they are amazing even in the wet.
Can't wait to drop my Motegi MR7 anchor's!! They came with the lude when I bought it; they look good, but crap they are heavy. Hoping to go to some Rota Attack's or the like and shave 7-8lbs per corner
