Starting/Battery????
Ok,my car is having a weird starting issue.Heres what it does do:
Main relay clicks
Fuel primes
Car will turn over
Test battery at terminals= 12v
When i turn the key to start the car it will turn over but not start, it acts like the battery is draining lower and lower.Ill pull the key out and go test it and ill get 11.9-12v
Any ideas?

Re: Starting/Battery????
Have someone test the batt as you try cranking it. The batt voltage should not drop below 9.6v. Make sure any acc is turned off while cranking it as well. If the batt voltage drops below 9.6 volts you have a bad batt.

Re: Starting/Battery????
Thats fine, it means that it isnt your alternator not working correctly. Like I said before test the batt at both terminals while cranking the engine. This puts a load on the batt and will tell you if any of the cells in the batt are bad. While cranking you will see a drop in batt voltage, and if it goes below 9.6 volts, your battery is dead. In my class, we had a guy that was having this problem. Batt looked fine when you tested the terminals, but once we put a load on the batt, the voltage would drop to 2 volts, which indicated that the battery was past dead, even tho once the load was taken off the voltage would come back up to 12.6
