Default spark ignition issue

Ok so i finally got my timing perfect on my f20b sir-t motor when i went to check for spark there was nothing. I purchased a new rotor for my distributor and put it in my dizzy and i replaced the coil with the one from my parts lude, i had spark and it ran for the first time holy**** i was starting to think this motor couldnt run. I then noticed the boggy idle and figured out i was running on cylinder 3, 2, and 1 was maybe misfiring not running properly and 4 was dead due to no spark so i tried a few things like cleaning my cap and when i put cap back on i checked for spark on cyclinder 1 and it seemed to be sparking fluently (it almost seemed like a red spark didnt really think much at the time) i then went to check cylinder 4 and when my friend went to start it over there was no spark and the motor didnt start on the 3 other cylinders like it was, my spark went away between checking spark from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4, i did not change anything between testing the spark on those cylinders. Since then ive got a new dizzy cap tried diferent icms and cam sensors in my dizzy and still no spark at all since. Any ideas or info is helpful, i really dont know what to do anymore pretty bummed out and depressed.

I don't speak the language if electrical issues that well so it'd be hard for me to help in a meaningful way. But I know you've been working this a while now and wanted to say don't give up man! Keep ur head high and u will fix it and it'll feel great when u do!

Clean and check all your grounds to make sure they are all in good shape with no split wires. And maybe it isnt your distributor at all maybe its your sprak plug wires that are bad. Also check your main relay out and replace it if its fried.

I think that this issue could be alot of things and electrical is too hard to help when u cant see the car yourself so i think its just up to me to keep checking continuity of my wires and keep testing voltage. I just thought someone might have an idea because of how it went from running on 3 cylinders to none from not doing anything seems like that might be a big clur but if noone knows what it means ill just keep checking wires

Im telling you to check your main relay and test your spark plug wires. And look at all your grounds. Also are you running an obd1 ecu with a jumper harness? If so I had one go bad and it can cause the to not run or have spark.

ok I have no idea why I cant upload photos keeps saying that there the wrong format or file maybe someone knows why idk. But I finally found some usefull info I checked the power from my yellow/green, black/yellow, and green wires going to my icm and they all had voltage, so the next place I went to check was the ecu to see if power continued all the way and it was pretty ugly you can see a charred black spot on my ecu and the metal part its bolted on looks like something shorted out which is weird because all of my fuses are fine. the one plug going into my ecu is a complete hackjob a lot of wires are spliced and electric taped up and there are 3 or 4 wires that run to another spot I haven't checked where yet. So I have a spare lude that has a wiring harness that isn't taped the **** up and the 3 or 4 wires don't run to another spot. should I try properly fixing my harness or put the other one in or do you think its even the problem? In the meantime I will try to upload these pics

This is the wiring harness from my parts lude should I just swap it out with this one or would it be easier to fix my current one from what you can see? Or does anyone even think this is the issue of why I have no spark

Have you opened up your ecu to check for burn marks or just to check it out? And heck yeah I would take the harness from your parts prelude and swap it into your car as long as its the same ecu harness.

Ok well check for continuity in those wires. There has to be a wire there that is causing your issue or its your main relay or something to do with other wiring in your engine bay.

Ok so i have my wiring harness fully disconncmected on my 97 prelude but it apears that all the plugs bunch up in the bay is there a better way to do this like pulling it out from the engine bay? Is there a good guide on how to remove it? Theres gotta be an easier way.

No that harness is going from the ecu inside the cabin of the car and is connecting to the engine harness by the passenger side shock tower. The only thing you need is the ecu cabin harness and the easiest way to pull it is by taking the dash off of the car or just being super patient and unplugging everything without taking the dash out, it can be done but takes more time.
