Removing Shift Cables
So I'm trying to remove the shift cables from my part-out car but I am perplexed as to how you remove them. I have the base of the shifter (yellow plastic piece under center console) unbolted, the cable mount that fastens to the tranny is unbolted and the bracket underneath the car near the steering rack has been unbolted as well.
The cables are free, I can move them around, but the hole where the cables feed into the interior is too small to let the bracket through and I can't figure out a way to remove the cables from the base of the shifter itself. At this point I'm ready to grab the dremel
Anyone have any thoughts or experience?
