I've lost my ignition key, and it was the last one. I don't have the RedKey for programming other keys... I only ahave a key made so it will just open the doors, etc., but it doesn't have a chip inside, so it won't start my engine.
Honda dealership told me that I need to buy a new ICU (Immobilizer Control Unit?) wich comes with a redkey and a black ignition key. It costs here "only" 600 euro.
My questions are: where on the internet could I buy this cheaper???? Maybe second hand or something?
Is there no other way for me? Maybe to disable the immobilizer and use the key without any chip in it?

You might be able to buy second hand if you can get everything you need. Do not ask about how to disable the immobolizer, there are consequences to that.

In Romania, where I live, there are about 5 ludes running around. That's it! Not a chance to find one wrecked so I can buy what I need.

Maybe it works from a difrent honda? Other than Prelude?

About the immobilizer, could'n this be spoken in private?

Also, If I would find it cheaper, I would buy it, so maybe you know some shops on the web where I could get it?

I was thinkin' about complaining to Honda about the high price I have here, but I have no ideea where to do that....

N00b question: What's an immoziler? Is it part of an alarm/starting system? And what are these "consequences" to disabling them?

the immobilizer is the chip in your key, if the chip isnt next to the ICU in the ignition, the car won't start... thus being immobilized..
