Default Popular strut/spring combos.

My girlfriend just bought a 97 prelude with totally blown shocks and cheep ebay coilover sleeves. Im just wondering what some popular suspension setup are for preludes. She does want it a little bit lower then stock ride height.

Personally I was thinking about Tokico HP shocks and springs. Good idea or bad?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

A nice GroundControl and KYB's setup would be nice for the adjustable height.

If you want a subtle drop I'd say Swift

the kyb agx + the ground control is a little more then she wants to spend, but the regular kyb + ground control is in the right price range.

Also are the Tokico HPs just not aq good set up for preludes? Ive known people who put them on civics and they work just fine.

To have fun with.

For a nice, cheap setup I would look into tokico/eibach prokit.

For what one pays for KYBs you're better off stepping up for Konis. Even blown and beat they are worth $250-300 and can be rebuilt and set up for meaner springs.

I have only rode in the setup that I currently own, but I am very happy with my Tein SS full damper setup. It was pricey but the cost was worth it to me, adjustment on the dampers is extreamly easy and the difference between full stiff and soft is day and night.

If you can't afford the AGXs, then don't get KYBs. The GR2s are just OEM replacements and are therefore worthless in your application.

Also, if you can't afford to do it right, don't do anything at all. Just save up.
