The G23 VTEC thread would be better for this, but I'll ask here anyway. If you were to take an H22 head and F23 block, could you put it together with an H23 belt with H23 upper and lower timing gears? I'd rather not have to source the H22 parts if I don't have to, plus my timing belt has 10k miles on it

You read my post wrong.
Anyway, I got the info I needed. H23 cam gears won't fit H22 cams, so that's pretty much the end of that idea. I'm not so sure about reving a basically stock F23 bottom end to 7500 anyway

anything that the h22 timing belt touches, should be a h22 component.
h22 crank gear, cam gear, modified water pump with an h22 gear....

wow it is gone...
That saddens me as I am trying to learn stuff as much as possible.
Help seems to be difficult to find.

But seriously, send me a PM with your email, we need to catch up!

Could you please repost the write up.
I have been reading the whole thread and gained some knowledge but would greatly appreciate reading the rest.

Hey there, am new to this forum, have been doing some research on the "G23" build and can not find any definitive info on how to time the engine. I have an H22 crank gear but can not find any info on if it needs to have the timing location modified or install on the same key way as the F23 crank gear. any information would be great

do you have to modify the H22 crank gear and have a new key way cut in it or do you put the factory key way on the F23 factory crank key way? do you use the same factory timing marks on the block?

Kinda agree with users reasons for deleting post. Sad part is seems like the knowledge has left and been replaced by ads for sex and bull crap

Why exactly are members deleting threads? I just registered to better research G23 builds... Would love to see Pirates content even if reposted to another site. Maybe he could start his own website and have his own ads?

The OP hasn't logged into Honda-Tech in over six years... it is very unlikely that you will get any type of response or update to this thread.
