Looks pretty good, similar to stock style, but with one tip.

I can't imagine the dual tip being any longer than your single tip... And if it is, they should have been able to shorten your piping so the muffler wouldn't stick out too much.

I like it a lot!!!

How does it sound? I was thinking about going with a custom setup with a Magnaflow muffler for my 240SX.

hey looks really nice - I wanna get a magnaflow as well, except dual tip (for the reasons you said - close look to stock) - however looking at your last two pics in this thread - you do have dual tip? what's up with that? -older pictures or something? (edit: nevermind, i see the footnote - how it used to look)

if you can give any feedback as to how it sounds it would be appreciated - i remember reading a thread on ht where the guy said it sounded a tad raspy - which obviously would be undesirable.

i'm thinking of all 2.5" piping with a carsound 2.5" cat, magnaflow resonator, and a 2.5 inlet dual tip muffler? if anyone has the setup please let me know (;

sorry for the partial jack.

I have a dual exit magnaflow, with no resonator at all and it sounds very deep, no raspiness.

I just got a whole new exhaust setup! 2.24" cat-back, no resonator, crushbent. I was looking at the piping and with the muffler they used. The Dual tip I wanted them to use was too long to fit there. It seems that where the muffler sits is as far back as they could put it. It's a magnaflow Super 40/ 60 Series. The shop said there were basicly the same. The magnaflow website says that the 60 series is supposed to be quieter. I don't know, it's REALLY loud but nice tonality. Gets raspy between 3~4k but goes away. Really deep tone.. hell just listen to the vids... taken with a digicam so kinda lacking on the low notes but you get the idea. I'm gonna go back to the shop and have them put in a res.. should quiet it down and take out some of the raspyness. Shop says adding a resonator is gonna be like $40 woot!

Step one..new header!

Step two..new exhaust!

The Results

I like how stealthy it is.. no flashy bling canister

I just got that exact set up like a week ago except i didn't get a dual tip muffler. You do know carsound and magnaflow is the same brand right? Anyway, it sounds awesome, not even the slightest raspy. Just a nice deep tone. Not much louder than stock either. Personally, i love it

Did you or anyone else w/ this type of exhaust notice any gains?

W/ the magnaflows, you'll notice a higher hp gain than many other exhausts b/c they are truly straight through mufflers, but they tend to be a little on the loud side. I got one w/ 2 1/4 in. piping and a 2.5 in magnaflow muffler and I felt a little more in the top end for sure. If you get a magnaflow resonator with it though, it'll keep your low end pwr and keep the exhaust note from getting high or raspy, and you won't lose high end pwr.
