Icon5 Limp mode after swapping H22A for H22A2?

Hi.

I have an imported 1993 Honda Prelude Si-VTEC (BB1) which had a H22A engine. My engine died and has just been replaced with an H22A2. The garage has told me it runs OK in any gear until it gets to 3500 RPM then it loses power; I presume its going into a limp mode?

Should it work OK, or do I need to replace some incompatible parts?

Thanks.
