is it worth it to buy this jdm intake ratehr than getting a aem or an injen ..etc.
ive read that it has better low end power, but i want to hear from peoples experiences.
thanks guys

Re: JDM type-s intake (Inextricabledrvr)
I have been thinking about doing it for the midrange. "@ries" has one and is going to dyno it. Then we shall know. I think it by design should be worth getting if you can find it cheap, but according to Satan, AEM owns.....
Do a search, MANG.

Re: JDM type-s intake (SuperSlow)
the type s intake is different...has a intake chamber that is fat...looks like a slug. i prefer my iceman...after driving 130 miles straight in 90 degree weather...the intake temp was still normal and not hot like the aem i had before

did you notice a better power gain than the aem you had before or your iceman.
im contemplating if i should buy or not. I currently have a aem short ram.
and you know what pisses me off. I have i(aem short)/h(DC header)/e(apexi WS)/p(AEM) (SH MODEL)
right and a friend of mine has only a flywheel, intake and a high flow cat and he still gettin me in the mid-high end.
would you happen to have any clarifications on why hes doin this? his mods: K&N short ram typhoon, clutchmasters flywheel and carsound high flow cat. (base lude)
thanks

Re: JDM type-s intake (Inextricabledrvr)
yes it provides low/midrange power. I prefer it because there isn't much torque loss for our torqueless hondas and I don't have to go to 5000+ rpm to get my power

Maybe your friend is beating you cuz he might be a better driver? or his car is just naturally fast, and plus his car is a base its like over 88 lbs lighter than the Type SH. Have you guys tried to switch cars and then race? maybe results might differnt

Re: JDM type-s intake (Type SH)
were both excellent drivers. We ran our cars at the track and i ran a 15.4 @90 mph with just the pullies and my friend ran a 15.31 @90 with intake, flywheel and a high flow cat.
and yea i know im about 90 lbs heavier, but i have a couple more mods than him so thats why im kinda pissed off on why i keep gettin pulled on by him. Oh and he is also on 17" rims with 45 series tires. And im runnin on stock rim specs.
