Re: It's been a long road and a long time.... my final build.
I remember Todd did it (SatanSRV) and I thought it was interesting. At the time 5x114 wheels were easier to come by than 4x114.... now both seem easily available. I could even get welds in my bolt pattern/size at this point.
Thought I was going to have it ready to fire up this weekend, didn't happen.... maybe next weekend.
The last time it ran it sounded like nothing I ever heard.... That was with the H23, Crower Stg 2.75's, full 3" and a love-fab mainfold.
I have all the fluids and everything else I need ready, other than some fresh gas.... as long as I get some free time this weekend (not looking good right now lol) it'll be ready, might be able to get some time during the week. Life always seems to get in the way of wasting time in the garage haha.....

Congrats man. Its been a VERY VERY long time. I dont even know why i came to the forum after all this time, but glad i did. **** looks sick.
I know the feeling of bad luck (several builds myself) and the awesome feeling of success (6+ years on current build). I know you too will know this feeling soon.
Ive been saying im bout put the finishing touches on mine and post up, but well we see how thats gone. Seeing this post, and alot of old familiar names has inspired me to get back at it and finish up! We need to have a honda-tech "old timers" track meet this summer!
Good luck on the dyno, cant wait to see the numbers.
P.s.- crazy to see the little custom things we have done the same without talking about it, af gage and intercooler bottom mounts for instance.

I lurk most of the time on honda-tech as well, only posting when I really feel like I need to say something.
That's the best part about being an "old guy" and making a thread, usually a lot of the other old guys come out of the wood work.
I had to google SGMP, best guess is South Georgia Motorsports Park? Quite a ways from Delaware, but not out of the question. A trip that far would be done via trailer. I've learned my lesson, and been left on the side of the road a few too many times over the years.

Know the feeling of laying under the car on the side of the road also, lol.
I live in the athens ga area myself, but willing to travel north or south, whatever is best venue and works good for everyone.
Now lets see those numbers

I'm working on it...... time is a rare commodity for me lately.
Should have time tonight, gf is sick and has been sleeping a lot. If she's the same as she was last night I will have some time tonight haha.

Re: It's been a long road and a long time.... my final build.
Lol was doing some searching on here and found my old for sale thread from 2007.
Since then the car has been running and blown up twice.... guess I didn't learn my lesson. It's also obviously not purple anymore.
Glad I hung onto it, although its been less than rewarding for sure.....
Hope to have it running this weekend. I have "blocked" off my Saturday to attack all the final details.
I think at this point, I'll never sell it. Even if I continue to have bad luck with it. It may sit for 20 years, but I'll probably always have it.

Know how you feel, after having 4 (so far) engines in mine, and plans for at least 1 more before it is where I want it. 9 years of ownership, and I don't ever plan to sell her.
Just gotta cut your workouts short a day or two and get the thing done man!

man the car just looks awesome and you have picked out some very well thought out parts. With Roger helping you, there is no reason this car shouldnt live up to every bit of your intentions with time.

Ching ching.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPbso...ature=youtu.be
Started right up on the second try.
It idles high as hell due to either the TPS not being setup correctly (I know its not), the Throttle body needs adjusted, or I have a vacuum leak.
Can't believe it fired right up with all the bad luck I've always had with this thing.... now to fix all the little bugs and make a few minor changes.
BUT ITS ALIVE!!!!!!

Well the TPS was wired wrong so I fixed that. Still idles high I'm thinking thats due to the super low base fuel pressure. I never readjusted the regulator after the new larger lines etc so its probably out of whack. I also found a small fuel leak I need to fix.
Getting closer.....

Well I've hit another snag. I can't increase my fuel pressure lol.
I crank on the regulator, nothing changes. Not sure why. I hear both pumps prime, no leaks. Regulator worked fine when I last used it. Confused. Anyone got any ideas?
Going to take regulator apart and check it out.
EDIT: There's a piece missing from inside the regulator, basically the "washer" that the set screw sits on isn't there. So when I crank down nothing is happening. I definitely didn't and haven't ever taken this thing apart, so where the faq did that piece go? Lame, but I can replace it with something pretty easily.

I'm still trying to sort out a couple small issues, but its close now.
I haven't touched anything in the old H23 tuneup other than the throttle position recal for the ford sensor. So needless to say she runs pretty rough, at least the idle anyway. Has good oil pressure, no smoke other than the typical "new engine vapor". Seems healthy just needs a proper tune.

This was at 10:30pm, I already got a complaint from my old hag neighbor 3 doors down lol.
