It is possible. You'll just have to take it to the machine shop and let them see if they can fix it. I've had quite a few fixed, but my lude crank was beyond repair. And it didn't look that bad.

I tried to get a '99 crank turned but they melted it. Not sure who's fault that was, though...

What year is your car? I have a '95 H22 crank sitting in my shop I need to part with if you can use it and / or wind up needing one...

how much does it actually cost to fiix a spun rod bearing? It doesnt sound like a very pleasant thing to fix.

The actual machine shop doesn't charge that much. I think it was about $150 for the last crank I had done. The only bad part is that the entire motor has to be torn down to do it. So if you are not doing it yourself it can get costly.

Don't you just have to drop the oil pan and work from there?

Unfortunately it cannot be done without removing the tranny and flywheel. There is a housing for the rear main seal and front main seal that must be removed to remove the crank. I have done just the crank and left the pistons in place, but it still required removing the motor due to the rear main seal housing.
