H22A4 in '93 Prelude, Balancer now rubbing chassis
I bought a "93 Prelude that had the engine swapped out for a H22A4 DOHC Vtec. The AC was present, but not working, as was the Power steering (belt was off). I had a local shop replace and charge the compressor. It blew cold, but for some reason the PO moved the clutch switch to a toggle on the console, the dash AC switch doesn't kick it on. No biggie. The shop mechanic got the power steering working also, but said space was so tight he had to loosen the motor mounts to slip the belt in front of the balancer. Two days later my wife makes a sharp right turn and the motor shifted over to where the balancer rubs the frame and makes an unholy racket.
Towed it back to the shop, they had it all day, but at the end of the day they can't get the motor mounted back where it was, and they are saying since my car is "non-standard" they won't fix it. They significantly discounted my bill. to where all I've paid them for is parts basically. I'm still stuck with a un-driveable car though
I have the car at a different shop now, and ordered a set of INNOVATIVE F H mounts for '92-96' prelude to try to get the motor to sit right and noticed the set I bought is for Manual trans chassis ONLY, and my vin decodes to a prelude with automatic from Japan. Do any of you swap veterans have a pointer for me here? The space was very tight, but we drove the car over a hundred miles before we had the work done, and it didn't rub then, I have looked at the mounts, and don't see that there is much room for adjusting the position laterally, and the new mounts are for a different chassis. What is a fella to do? Thanks for any info, and for reading my post. Have a great day!

The Innovative mounts are not in. When I say balancer I mean the sheave (pulley) that mounts to the end of the crankshaft, which all the accessory belts are driven by. I know because You can see the pulley making contact with the chassis.
