I'm rebuilding a h22a from Japan I bought from a freind I've never rebuilt a h series before but I want to boost and spray I know I have to lower the compression but I'm also going to sleeve the block before I start the rebuild but have no idea of where to start the search for a rebuilt kit or what I should lower the compression to or any good sights to check out

www.arfabrication.com

Talk to Howard if you are serious and plan on spending 4-5k on the bottom end alone.

There is no "kit" for a turbo build.

98vtec is correct. Instead of wanting to "boost and spray it" you should look at it more like budget, power goals, use, and fuel type... then after all that you consider what type of build will get you there. Once you have a clear picture, then searching for the guidelines/specs (i.e. clearances, compression, etc.) for your build will become much clearer. You can just get a cheap rebuild kit off ebay, or piece one together customized from different vendors allowing you to select specifics like bearing clearances/brand, head gasket thickness/brand/ etc. From what you stated, we can really offer no advice beyond what has already been given.

There are many different combinations of parts that will meet a certain goal, with varying pros and cons, which you alone must weigh. Just be prepared, a well-built high-horsepower turbo H can set you back WELL over $10,000 easy, but one can also cost a whole heck of a lot less by adjusting a few things and compromising... which is all up to you.

I, for one, think the OP should buy the electric turbo fan on ebay for $19.99

I want to supercharge mine when I build my h22. Hopefully I can do it for less than 6k without compromising on quality parts.

Thanks for all the help guys and I should of been eve clearer on my post I just need to rebuild the bottom end because the kid I bought the engine from said it has a spun bearing and just need to rebuilt it but it's going to at least a 2-3 year build that's why I'm building it but might as well go all out

If it has a spun bearing then the crank is probably trashed and needs to be replaced. Even if you think it could be polished, I would just replace it... don't say I didn't warn you. Also, the head needs to be taken apart, inspected, and cleaned because of all the metal shavings that are in there. I'm sure that screen on the Vtec solenoid has a bunch of metal in it. If you want to build it and "go all out", you might be better off selling that engine and buying one in perfect working order for your build.

junkyards are FULL of preludes right now. A dime a dozen engine for sure. If it has a spun bearding id scrap it and find a different motor. Personally id located a junked 5g automatic lude and take the motor. H22s which have not been abused will seriously last forever. All you need to do is replace the rings and head gasket. Mill the head although that may not be necessary. Then go run another 250k. If boost is on the table a set of mahles would fit the bill.
