h22 No Vtec Oil Pressure Switch??
I just ordered a h22/auto swap for my sisters prelude and i got a jdm ecu for it to. I dont see a Vtec Oil Pressure Switch. Is this normal with a jdm motor and do i need the Vtec Oil Pressure Switch for the Vtec to work sence i have the jdm ecu?

yes it is normal for a jdm h22a to have no Oil Pressure Sensor, if you you have a jdm ecu for the motor than you are fine

Thanks... The JDM motor look's like it has 2 map sensor one on the TB and one on the end of the intake. i dont have a plug for the one on the TB with the wiring harness i have. I have i plug just dont know where to run them. Check my other post for pic of what i am talking about.

Obd2 vtec engines don't have a vtec oil pressure sensor, so if u're obd2 ur fine. Jdm h22's if they're obd1 though DO have an oil sensor.

Just, wire vtec plug everything up to the jdm ecu & see if it gives you CEL, If it needs it vtec won't kick in & you'll red line at 6500, instead of 8000rpm
If it gives you CEL for it you'll have to buy an oil pressure sensor & remove the bolt under the vtec solenoid & put it in there
Than wire it to the ecu & ground

I got the car running and no cel with it just sitting. but after i let it idle for a min it started flooding out and would not idle. The exhaust manifold was cut one inch befor the o2 sensor so i cut the stock manifold 1 in befor the o2 sensor and it just blowing on the o2 a little could this be why its flooding and want idle??

yea it open but the exhaust pipe is hanging half way on front of the headder. I use the H22 because it was a headder. they had cut it right befor the 02. The o2 is in the exhaust pipe not the headder.

Re: (quickv8s10)
they cut the pipe but should have supplied you with a full 1. thats how they did mine. laser cut the exhaust pipe but had a full intact on the pallet with it. and mine came with the sensor
