Default h22 injector question

Some help would be appreciated on this question. I plan on putting an h23vtec motor (obd2) from the euro accord into my obd1 1994 prelude. Currently it has an h22a1 in it that popped and is no good. I had it boosted and put in fic 525cc injectors so I deleted the resistor box. This is my question.

Can I swap the motor in, convert everything to obd1 (oil pump, dizzy) slap on my engine harness for the h22a1, use a p13 ecu, BUT use the obd2 injectors since they do not require a resistor box? I know I can do everything I just said and run the h22a1 injectors with a resistor box but I would prefer not having to source both of those parts.

Injectors depend solely on whether they are peak and hold vs saturated in terms of whether they require a resistor box. Saturated do not use one, while peak and hold do.

Saturated are high impedance while peak and hold are low impedance so you just measure for ohms to determine which an injector is.

Perfect, that's what I needed to know! Those injectors off the h23a vtec I believe did not use an resistor box so I should be able to just plug and play. But i'll double check just to be sure.

I think your theory should be good Adam, as long as you have a decent set of OBD2 injectors. When switching from OBD1 injectors to my I.D.s all I changed was the pigtails, and made the loop to delete the resistor box.

My other concern would just be injector size, as the P13 map may be a bit off if using the H23A injectors.

If there are any issues, I probably have what you would need, I think I have 2 sets of h22a injectors, 2 sets of H22a4, and a couple of resistor boxes laying around.

Ya, that was the other thing I needed to make sure. I know the h22a4 injectors are smaller, i believe 290cc, while the h22a1/jdm h22a are 345cc. I'll try and dig up the injector sizing for the h23a vtec. If they are 345cc i'll be happy as I keep my resistor box deleted (looped) and just pop those in. If they aren't I guess i'll be hooking up my resistor box again and plugging in the h22a1 injectors so I can run the 345cc and not have any issues.

Not as long as they are good injectors i.e. I.D., F.I.C. etc.

I run I.D. 1000cc on my H23, and it is N/A.
