Got sent here from the Accord section
*I did search and did not come up with anything, other than 6+ year old swap threads that involve cutting and splicing crap and swaps into obdI preludes and accords*
I bought a 97 (made in 96) accord automatic with a h22 swap for the wifey.
Mods;
skunk manifold,
ebay headers
aem fuel rail
aem adjustable cam gears
Only happens if reverse. If i put in reverse and let it idle, it stays running but as soon as i apply the throttle, bam, it dies.
was told the problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. *cleaned them out today*
update as of today:
found out the car has a f'd up wiring.
the plugs where the one ecu would plug into by the foot panel, well, it has the p13 and P0J ecu wired in together. example, half of the wires (my guess are the engine wires) run to the P13 and the other wires (tranny wiring) is running to the P0J ecu. (facepalm)
Since I need to replace the whole engine harness and the car is obdII, would it be the whole engine harness from the ecu to the drive side like the 96-00 civics? if so, would I be able to use a 96-97 accord ex v-tec wiring with a sohc v-tec ecu?
I honestly don't care if I lose power on the H, as long as it runs good. Its for the wifey.
Is there a way to convert the p13 to automatic?
Any one do a obd2 h22a swap into an Accord before that could shime in?
could I use the stock engine harness (If I find one from a lx) to run on the h22a and just add the vtec wires? I know i need to change the crank wires from the dizzy to the crank pulley aswell.
I will run the p13 ecu and just have my lady shift manually I guess.
Sorry i'm a newb to accords. 1st accord and 2nd obdII out of mostly civics and integras.

Re: Got sent here from the Accord section
yea you could make a p13 into a auto. please don't tho, you can sell your 5spd p13 and buy 10 p14s with what you can sell the p13 for.
You're naming off obd1 ecus but tell me its a 96 or 97 car.
^ agreed. lets see some pics so we can tell what OBD harness/ecu you currently have in car.
