Quicker... not faster.
werd....ahem.

It would "accelerate" faster, but you would lose top end.

Really Minh? That's interesting to know...yours is an Accord Type-R tranny. I have a Euro-R myself...

I made a mistake on the on the M2A4 tranny gear ratios... They are the same as the M2B4 lsd tranny.
Sorry for the inconvenience
You know that's what I thought! I thought the M2A4 = M2F4 it was just JDM vs. USDM codes for the same tranny.

2point6 you should edit your first post

I'll have it in in a week mine is brand new so I will know if there is a characteristic sound to it

The only differnce between the two trannies is the ATR (yours) 5th is .870 while the Euro-R 5th (Mine) is 0.812. Here's some pics:

I can go ask on a european board about the gears and if that noise exists.

Other than that how are you liking the tranny? Noticeable improvement in acceleration?

There are gearing differences between the USDM trannys and the JDM counterparts. I also had already changed the first post before I made the boldface comment about the correction. Thanks.

Good post 2.6! I've always wondered what the FD's are on different models.

Regarding the whine, I know that is a normal after-effect from the FD upgrade.

I'm going to jump to a 4.9 in my ITR.

That's weird because the ATR tranny has just a 4.266 FD

Here is a photo of the gears from my ATR tranny. Can anybody tell from the photo is these are "Straighter Cut" gears or if the syncros are beefed up.

Yup that's what I've been saying all along the T2T4 is just a 5th gen tranny with LSD...nothing special about the gears.

I have a Euro-R tranny. It's not straight cut you would be able to hear it. And the synchros are not beefed up, my 5th gear already grinds and it has only 7,000 miles on it.

What kind of transmission fluid are you using? I using Redline MTL. I've heard a few bad things about it though.

Actually, the original information I had the original tranny code was T2W4, I just had thought it was a typo and corrected it for T2T4, because I thought it was wrong.

I wasn't exactly sure. My bad lol.
