gas pedal sensitivity
hi, i have a 2000 prelude type sh and ive driven like 4 other 5th gen preludes, how come all of them have super sensitive gas pedals compared to mine, is something out of adjustment?

ya thats what i thought at first, but its perfectly adjusted already, i got someone to go inside the car, put the gas pedal is to the floor, i went under the hood and its full throttle.
i dont think that 4 preludes can all be off adjustment on the cable.

Take out all the play in the cable by adjusting it when the car is fully warmed up on tickover, at the adjuster in the engine bay, you should adjust it just so the revs begin to increase very slightly, then back it off a little so the revs just drop back to normal tickover then lock it at that point, that way getting rid of any slack play in the throttle pedal.
