five speed swap donor car
Hey quick question here I have a 98 prelude and need to do a five speed swap the thing is I can't find a good donor car or parrts, can I use an earlier car for a donor? I find mid nineties preludes on craigslist cheap can I use one of those? If not why?

I believe the bolt pattern for the earlier prelude's shifter is different then your 98 prelude. And I am most certain the cables are different as well. So you would be best off to stick with a cable and shifter setup from any 97-01 Prelude. The transmission you can get off an earlier prelude.

Get those from a 97-01 Prelude as well just looked up the part numbers on Majestic Honda and they are indeed different.
