It feels good to own a Honda again.....
....a Prelude at that. Picked up a 94 Honda Prelude Si today. I do have some questions I didn't find much on it searching. I used to own and 90' Acura Integra GS, so this feels so different.
The temp gauge is a bit confusing to me, since it's digital. The temp gauge is halfway up, sometimes, it drops to a quarter way up when the car is warm. Does this happen often? That one bar between half and a quarter is pretty big.
The car stalls when coming to a stop. Driving on the highway, push in clutch to take out of gear, tach drops...and drops to 0. Starts right back up though. Idles kind of rough. Only happens once warmed up. Maybe the idle needs adjusted?
I know the car is old, with 224k miles, but hey, the clutch is strong, engine doesn't burn oil, knock or tap. Transmission doesn't grind, tie rods and axles have no play. Windows, locks, sunroof, ac, all the creature comforts still work. Has good tread on tires. Intake, header and exhaust. Body is a little banged up, but I got it for $1k.
If anyone in the MD area has a stock exhaust for this gen prelude, I'll buy it off you.
I budgeted enough to have a little over $500 to tune it up and stuff.....which I think it may need. Top end feels kind of weak... Despite all this, I love this car!

The temp bar isn't a big deal, just make sure it doesn't go into the red. My car was sitting at 2 bars forever and would rarely go 3 because I had such an upgraded rad system. 3 is normal and 2 is fine.
Idk about the stall though.

Ok, cool. Thanks! I mainly worried because the guy said one of the radiator hoses busted a while back. I was just hoping one of the other ones weren't going to break on the way home too.
I didn't realize the stalling happened until the car was warmed up. It idles low. I'll see if I can adjust it and give it a tune up and see what happens.
