hahhah well it doesn't really work like that! you can't do it yourself, too much equipment and knowledge, you can order a "chipped" ecm but its still not the same. you will need a professional to do this its not like you can read about it and try it out yourself, you need lots of sophosticated equipment and lots of skills to do this. and an h22a1 is a usdm dohc vtec engine. you might have an f22 engine or possibly and h23 but the h22 is a vtec motor, if you have an h23 you can vtec it but i don't know about the other. it will take a little time and skill but if you got the tools and are determined it own't be hard!
and when i say you can "vtec it" i mean you can take an h22 head and put it on the h23 block

Re: enigine advice please:)
you can but a complete jdm swap for about 2400 give or take a lil....and do intake, header, exhaust, chipped and tuned ecu!! it will then be a pretty decent!! thats if you dont want to build a motor...way easier!!

Re: enigine advice please:)
no freaken jdm h22a swap cost 2500 unless you buy the tranny with it(which i guess he will need since he has a long *** gear split in his tranny) and i was un aware that an f22 is vtec??????
boost it. its the only way, i think you can do a head swap on it, something dohc or something. i did a vtec conversion on my 93 prelude si (h23a) for about 1000 dollars, and that is with a good motor with low miles ( tiger japanese auto ) i mean there is tons of stuff to do. new cams, port and polish...etc... i feel like i just told you this?

Re: enigine advice please:)
just find a company that makes something, find it for your year and model and go from there... example... go find an aem intake, type in ...92 prelude ...2.2 liter s sohc and there you go just do that for everything. look up comapanys that tune ecms, or sell them that way, exhaust systems, intake, put on a different manifold, actually an h23 manifold is a popular upgrade for you...there is alot of stuff out there, more than i know just look around, read up on some things, ill help you out but i can't do it all for you!

Please do some more reading in the FAQs and about how cars work because you are clearly very new to this and you can really save a lot of time and money by researching and making educated decisions.
A good site for F22 info is CB7tuner.com
