Default DRIVETRAIN SWAP

Okay so I know a lot of people think it's a waste of money and I should just buy another car that had everything I want. However I love my prelude and Ima make it to be everything I want even though it's gunna cost an arm and a leg. But as for the fun part I have an auto 2001 prelude and I'm switching it to manual and I believe I found the tranny that Ima need but on top of that I want to make it RWD. I was gunna do AWD but it'll be even heavier and a lot more work! So I'm settling with RWD so my question is.... What RWD drive train do I need? If I can get the make and model of the drive train that it belongs to I can get it but I have no idea which one is best to get! Please lemme know what you think! Need something to be able to withstand the power that I have planned to put into my prelude and reliable but I'm not wanting to have to do to much fabricating either but I'll do what I have to

This is the tranny I was gunna be getting... I'm keeping my h22

Well it will be all custom so the sky is the limit.

Stay Honda with S2000, go LS... with camaro or corvette, go ford etc.

It's all gunna be custom???? There is a drive train that will fit better than the other?

if you are going rwd or awd of course it is all custom. the car is fwd and set up that way. All you need to do is cut, weld, wire and make it work! Figure just reshape the firewall, central tunnel, create new crossmembers, new mounts, then cut out the rear suspension and reshape to fit the new suspension with rear axle, then get the custom driveshaft, should be a lot of fun! Make sure to post lots of pics.

If it was me though I would get a Ford Mustang Coyote engine and trans, run the AEM infinity ecu and go nuts. That engine with slicks and bolt ons puts mustangs into 11s!

With all that said were could I find the drive train that I should use? I'm wanting to keep my h22 just because I feel the h22 makes it a prelude lol I found the 5speed tranny I want and now I will just have to come up with the drive train in order to even start looking at this project. I know it won't be a perfect fit at all but I was wanting something that would be strong enough to go nuts on but would be fairly easy to custom install onto my lude

you would custom build it....or pay someone to custom build it.

I read an article awhile back, google search it. it will be a pic of a red prelude burning out from the rear. I cant remember any specs but it goes into some detail about that was used but not some list or directions youll have to do all that. I kno he ended up using some old *** ford differential tho. because it was smaller then most newer beefier setups but it was still built back in the day when everything was strong. He was pushing some 500hp to the wheels as well so, it held together pretty good.

most likely a ford 9" rear end. requires custom work obviously to match the width of the car, custom driveshaft, and then of course custom fabricating the rear suspension to support the ford axle.
