Damn snow...snapped my rear axle any idea how much it will be to fix...help
So i slid into a curb in my neighborhood last night after i hit a patch of ice and it snapped my passenger side rear axle...my wheel is now at a 45 degree angle to my car...what else besides the axle could be broken and does anybody have an estimate on how hard and or how much it would cost to get fixed...thanks for all your help

4ws or non 4ws?
Last I checked wasn't there just bearings?? No axle lol. There are quite a few parts in that assembly that can be fuked up. No axles though so the damage isn't the end of the world unless you got 4ws.
All wrecker parts or buy through H-T here (list in the wtb section of what you need).
I would say to replace everything completely in that area if everything was ****ed should be less than 500 and that could be with someone else doing the work. I can rip out the rear suspension assembly on one side in less than 3 hours and I"m a pot smoking beer drinking, loose the screw driver 6 times when its always really in your one pocket you seem to forget to check all 5 times lol (jk, I'm thorough by trade).
If you take a picture and post it here from behind the wheel we might be able to visually tell you what its broken and needs replacing. Other wise its all just ball park guesses.

You don't have any rear axles. It's front wheel drive with independent suspension.
You probably bent the rear lower control arm; possibly the knuckle, hub, and upper control arm as well. Those parts can be easily pulled as a complete right rear suspension assembly from a salvage yard. You'd better hope that you didn't bend the rear subframe, otherwise you'll be paying for time on the frame rack and welding up a new subframe.
Next time, use proper snow tires and don't drive at speeds over your head when the weather is inclement. If you can't do either of those, stay home. It's cheaper.

it could take a while if the bolts are all bent up and then getting everything to line up when bolting it back together...
control arm is almost definitely bent...and that bottom part of the strut...ive seen a similar thing on a 5 gen...not sure about 4 gen but i imagine its similar...sucks if your subframe is messed up...also check trailing arm, and your wheel bearing might be messed up now...
