Okay so I have a 1998 Prelude with a manual transmission as most of you know by now, and it does have some cut wires where it plugs into the ecu. They have been fixed with butt connectors and this has how my car has been ever since I owned.
I finally got the opportunity to purchase an uncut ECU wire harness from a 1997 Honda Prelude. I just compared the harnesses tonight and the 97 harness is missing two plugs from it the EVAP Control Canister Vent Shut Valve plug, and the Fuel tank pressure sensor plug. I am confused because these are two plugs that every Prelude should have from 97-01, or am I wrong on this matter? Please help me if you can at all, I would hate to return this harness because of two plugs.

The 97 lude harness part number is 32111-S30-A002 and my 98 harness is 32111-S30-L010.

Okay guys I think I just figured it out, the harness I bought from the 97 prelude was for a KA5MT meaning it was for 49 state emissions and my prelude harness is for the KL5MT which is California emissions. So with this helpful information from Majestic Honda's website I am sure this is why the new harness is missing the two plugs for emissions. This just baffles me as I am now thinking that it is going to be near impossible to find the same harness I have from a California car.

With this being said can anyone tell me who doesnt have a prelude from California if their harness has the plugs for the evap canister shut valve and the fuel tank pressure sensor?

The circuit diagrams show for only 97 - California models have the EVAP Control Canister Vent Shut Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor.

98-01 - All models will have EVAP Control Canister Vent Shut Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor.
