What exactly are you trying to adjust? What's it doing to make you think it needs adjusting?

Ah, ok. No, you can't adjust that. It sounds like your clutch is done. The only thing you can adjust is engagement point.

How many miles are on it?

If you're planning to have the clutch changed anyway, I wouldn't even bother messing with the engagement point.

behind the clutch pedal, you'll see a gold-colored rod. clockwise towards the firewall will raise engagement point, counterclockwise will bring it towards the firewall. remember not to go too crazy on it, as there is a point where the clutch does not engage at all, and there's a point where the clutch doesn't disengage at all.

I don't think you understand what AndyD is saying. Your clutch disc is gone and there's no adjustment you can make other than the engagement point on the Clutch Master Cylinder rod to clutch pedal. The sooner you get that fix'd, the better, or else you'll find yourself stranded b/c you can't get the car to move.

If your clutch is slipping, there is nothing you can do to "prolong" your clutch life by adjusting it, and there is no adjustments you can do to make it "grab" more

If it is slipping really bad, you should stop driving it, before you leave yourself stranded somewhere.

yea my clutch is pretty much gone and i absolutely had to drive it and yea it was no good i almost got stuck a few times cause it wouldnt go into gear so i had to kill the engine so i could get it into a gear and rev the **** out of it so it would move and slowly get upto speed i.e. 4th gear trying to drive on residential roads and starting of at stop signs and driving on the highway. that **** sucks...now i gotta replace it myself with no mechanic experience and a chilton.. yippee
