Clunking noise when turning... info please?
Obviously this isnt my car, as i drive an accord, but im looking into buying a (93 i beleive) prelude with what i think is the h23... but anyway when i test drove it when i take turns while accelerating (left or right) it sounds like something is clunking... it will drive fine straight, just makes that odd noise when turning. Any advice as to what it might be is appreciated, car is real sharp with low miles so id like to know if its worth buying with that strange clunk... ha.

Is the suspension modified in any way? Front upper control arms could be hitting the inner fender well.

CV joint or wheel bearing. If it's a "clunk" it's most likely the CV joint; if it kind of grinds it'd be the bearing. CV joint will run ~$250 + labor iirc.

Well most CV half-shafts (axles) are $59.99/exchange at most parts stores and have a LT warranty. If you install them yourself then NO LABOR COST FTW!

Does the half-shaft come with the joint though? I was just looking at Majestic, and they offer either just the axle ($125) or complete axle set ($280), which I presume includes the CV joint. The CV joint is available separate for $150. If you could get a full set with joint for $60, that'd be a steal.

Ya like he says 59 bucks or so at autozone. Comes with limited warranty so when it breaks you just take it back for another. Yes 59 bucks includes the shaft and the joint and boot.
