Cel P0170 P0171 Please help!!!
I have a 99 prelude sh with a jackson racing supercharger. i am throwing a system running lean in bank 1-p0170. And every once in a while the fuel trim-p0171 cel is indicated, and when it does there is a significant change in exhaust note(much quiter) and decreased performance, it goes away while driving as if their is a malfunctioning valve, like in the vac system. Currently the p0170 is consistent, but before it was it would only come on, on long distance hwy trips. my fuel pressure is perfect my fuel filter is good so is my fuel regulator. The only thing i am unsure about is my injectors, i dnt have the tools to check them. The car smells heavily of gasoline as if its balancing for increased air. I think it is dumping an excessive amount of fuel, because 6k+rpm is weak. When i first bought the car it felt as if i could spin her up to 9k and still make power lol. there is no fuel present around my injectors so there not leaking. This all leaves me to believe that there is air getting in somewhere. maybe the intake manifold gasket is bad but how do i check it(read farther first)? There are no noticable problem areas and the wine of the supercharger makes it hard to hear a vac leak.
or i have a bad o2 sensor. i dont have a cel for the o2 but is it possible it could be throwing the wrong voltage that is unseen by the ecu as a problem. I no i should check the voltage but i dnt have a good scanner and dnt want to go for the wires by the ecu just yet. While looking for a vac lack with a bernzomatic pipe sweeter i realized when i placed the gas by my intake filter the idle was undisturbed. From my understanding the idle is suppose to change but it did not. DOES THIS MEAN MY O2 SENSOR IS BROKEN OR READING INCORRECTLY?
I dnt believe this problem has anything to do with the supercharger because through my research many people have had the same problem with stock accords and preludes.
Also my idle is intermittently ****ed like when i apply the clutch coming to a stop the idle goes very low and comes back up. when this is occuring the car never finds a idling spot she is happy with. other times it idles great. This might be off topic but it may not. thought u should Know.
So I guess what i am asking 4 is some insite on what i noticed with the bernzomatic and the o2 sensor, if there is any spot in the vaccum system i should focus on, and how can i check the IM gasket other than carb cleaner. OR if i am even looking in the right place. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanxs

Re: Cel P0170 P0171 Please help!!!
Well turns out their was a kink in the fuel line right by the fuel filter. A kink which caused it to leak ever so slowly, developed their because of the jackson racing supercharger installation. for safty purposes jackson has you reposition the line at the fuel rail so it doesnt hit the belt. what i also noticed was the position jackson tells you to put the line causes less fuel to make it into the fuel rail.
Bought a new line at honda 50 bucks, and installed it on the rail like it was original intended. tirapped the line away so it doesnt hit the belt.
It fixed the p0171 fuel trim, and the smell of gas is gone.
but the p0170 comes on when i go on long hwy trips or agressive ones.
sometimes it goes off.
So I guess what i am asking 4 is some insite on what i noticed with the bernzomatic and the o2 sensor, if there is any spot in the vaccum system i should focus on OR if i am even looking in the right place. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanxs
