car won't start....LOL
sup~
- car died when backing up, might have been me not using enough gas, but it stalled out.
- only symptoms previously are a small idling problem, happened very rarely and only on 1 hot day this year. (probably small vac leak or something.)
- when I crank over the car it doesn't go "vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom"
it goes: vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
- It's not "tick, tick, tick, tick, tick" like a dead starter or hydrolocked motor.
thx for any opinions.

What kind of car, specifially?
No check engine codes? Was your CEL on?
Can you hear the fuel pump turn, when you move the key from "off" to the on/II/whatever running position (not actually starting it)
Next thing to check is spark, pull out a spark plug, hold the side against a ground (like the head) and have a friend crank it over and see if it sparks.
After that, check for fuel, see if the cylider smells like fuel after trying to start it.
Good luck. Hopefully it's something easy like fuel pump or distributor.

Probably just one loud click. The starter motor won't be turning, but it will engage with the flywheel. Why do you think the engine is seized?

I tried checking the oil last night in the dark.
The oil on the stick didn't seem like a consistant surrounding around both sides of the stick.
Instead, it seems like 1 side had a "decent" test of oil, and the reverse side had just a tiny bit of small drops.
Maybe because the motor hasn't been running for 10 hours now? But...it just doesn't look good.

Take it to a mechanic... sounds like you're not very sure as to what the problem is.... we can't tell you anything by a typed vroom.

Your car doesn't need oil to start. It needs spark, fuel, and compression. Start by looking for spark and fuel.
