Default Car revs when braking

Coming to a stop holding down the brake pedal it revs about 200-300 RPM, so it will rev up to like 1300-1400. It started doing it after I replaced a distributor. Sometimes I can rarely feel it, other times it feels like a downshift. Car is a 1994 Prelude Si Automatic.

was that a oem dizzy or a parts store dizzy? I only ask because ive heard of some problems with the cheap rotors that come in them.

Does it do it at idle or anytime stationary? Maybe thinking TPS? Does it "feel/sound/look" like a down shift or does it actually downshift? If so maybe some pressure sensor on the trans. Im not very familiar with auto's...

Sometimes I would be at idle and feel a "Jerk" and the idle drops a bit and idles rough. But that's a whole different story cause when the alternator connection is off it idles smooth. Anyways I had some idiot change my TPS with a junkyard one that came off a 1992 Accord cause he said it was the cause of my problems, ending up being a loose ground. I got the dizzy from autozone. It says on the box it's a OEM Re-manufactured. It didn't come with the rotor or cap I'm using a unknown rotor and cap. Definitely aftermarket. Where can I get a good rotor and cap online? Well sometimes it doesn't rev up a lot and it kinda noticeable, other times it feels stronger like a downshift. Out of no where I lost a lot of brake fluid and my brake light was dim. I topped it off and It's been good ever since so idk if it can be a master cylinder problem. I do need brakes I can hear them squealing a bit already. The pedal doesn't sink and I don't have trouble stopping.

Here I got a little video. I think It's more noticeable on the second stop. Look closely at the Needle and you can hear it revving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNbRd...ature=youtu.be 0:37

Honestly the only thing I seen was it shifting from second to first. Nothing out of the ordinary for the rpms to blip up when it does.

Odds are your auto trans is faliing, whenever the rpms in an auto jsut jump randomly, it is usally a sign that the transmission is on its way out and is slipping.

Like I said Im not very familiar with auto's, does the prelude have overdrive? Can you turn it off, or is it off? I imagine when the trans down shifts like any other trans "while you brake/slow down" will jump slightly in Rpms when you do so.

Didnt see the tac jump sporadically like i was originally thinking. Im sure autos still have some kind of clutch plates, as well as some sycros that wear over time. Possible a toqrue converter on its way out..?

Just throwing some ideas out there for you, has it gotten worse over time or did you just now notice it?

It just started after I replaced a dizzy like 1 month ago. It hasn't gotten worse, it has stayed the same. Tranny feels the same as it did before it started to rev while braking.

It won't do it randomly only when coming to a stop while braking.
