Re: bore size 88mm
for boost, u can go for 88mm bore with stock block, then put low comp piston eg; 8:++ CR but dont use forged piston..if forged piston, must run with sleeve block.
anyway, let me know, have a problem u run 87.75mm type s piston with stock block?? i plan to use 87.5 @ 87.75mm in my stock h22a block, but i heard it's high risk

Re: bore size 88mm
You can't bore the stock H-series block, since they have different FRM (Fiber Reinfornced Material) sleeves, instead of the conventional iron/steel. Boring FRM will absolutely destroy the block. Instead, the entire cylinder sleeve is replaced with ductile iron sleeves (or other material) which is called "sleeving".
With a sleeved block, you can basically run any forged piston you want (as well as bore it out), as opposed to only one aftermarket piston that you can run in a stock H-series, which is the Mahle Gold's.

good luck with it. a friend of mine did a high compression turbo and it was ok it made 397 to the wheel but later he messed up the oil rings.

just leave the god damn motor the way you have it and put a reasonable sized turbo on it with GOOD tuning and low boost. you gotta pay big bucks if you want big boost!

This new thing called Drop Shipping...............
Anyway, if your going to go to all the trouble of having new sleeves put in, it might be cheaper to get the F20b Bare block. i think that is code. Those are the normal h22 block, I think its iron block on that so you can bore that.
