Whats going on guys... many of u may think im crazy and all but I know I will need to rebuild my engine soon, and for the power range I plan on making, a k24 with k20 type s head swap seems to be the easier route, not only that, but I also want the more advanced technology used in the newer engines. With that being said, I wanted to get a k24a2 block and out of a tsx but was wondering if anyone had any info on which k series block would be best?
I stil have to do some research but I know the swap is doable with little modification and the 4th gen swap mounts... any info?

The K24A2 block would be best or the K24Z6 or Z7 from the 2.4 Si's, These all come with REAL VTEC heads (three lobe cams)

the k20z3 comes with rel vtec as well. You can find those engines in the candian CSX Type S as well as the Civic SI in the states.

The CSX Type S comes with one of the best geared K transmissions, it has LSD factory as well as the shortest gearing of the k transmissions.

Good to know thanks guys, just another question, I found a k24a4 engine for 500 bucks, I read if I go with k24a2 pistons and rods with a k20a2 head would be just as good as the tsc engine, is this true and most importantly, is it worth it?

Techncially it would be the same as you will have the a2 head and the k24 pistons, but its not the same as havving the k24a2 or k20a2 or k20z3.

The biggest issue you will run into will be finding a transmission for cheap. the good k sereis trans do not come cheap nor are they easy to find with low mileage and in great condition, expect to pay a fair amoutn for one.

I did kbow I wasn't goibg to find one cheap, but thwbbuild will take 6 months to a year so I got some time to look for one haha
