Automatic to Manual Transmission Swap, any problems?
Ok so Im about to buy a 93 H22A Prelude Si , but I am unsure because it used to be an automatic but the owner did a manual transmission swap. Is there any possible problems that I may encounter because of the swap? Or am I perfectly fine and just overreacting? Has anybody done a a auto-manual swap that can enlighten me? Id love to hear your guys advice.

Make sure vtec engages, make sure it keeps revving past 6500 freely. Make sure the engine sits level in the engine bay, it takes special mounts or modification for a manual transmission and engine to sit level in a automatic engine bay, particularly the trans mount.

Re: Automatic to Manual Transmission Swap, any problems?
The only problems I've encountered is the clutch sensor on mine doesn't work I can start the car without the clutch on the floor. if the car isnt wired correctly and the old auto gear shifter piece slides out of park you may not be bale ot start the car, not sure if this holds true on Preludes. This only happened to me once 8 years ago (still driving the same car.) The tranny mount as stated above should be level. There's a mount specifically made to do this swap. I would also make sure if he/she has change the gauge cluster there wasnt a milage discrepancy on it to truly know what your car milage should be unless you don't care. As long as it was done right you should be fine. Ive had my swap since 2003 on a Del Sol and have been using the same clutch and tranny since.

I know its kind of an old thread but what would cause the vetch to not work and not rev past 6500 rpm as stated above, I'm currently having that issue...
