Default Auto h23 vtec ecu help.

Okay so I have an h23 in my 4th gen now with auto tranny. Cylinder 4 has rings that are on their way out. I also have access to an h22 with a spun bearing and plan on putting h22a1 pistons in the h23 with h23 crank and rods so I know it will stick out of the block 0.018 and plan on using a 0.03 head gasket. First question is will the valves clear or should I get the reliefs cut and by how much. Second what ecu should I use? Im trying to keep the build cheap and before you say anything Im not cutting corners to keep it cheap. Can I get a chip and socket for my existing ecu and use crome to give the ecu vtec and upload an h22 map? Ive heard of people using p28 ecus would I do the same to that?
