Adjusting the clutch pedal.
I was playing around with the adjustment of my clutch pedal , I wanted it to engage closer to the floor. I got it to do that but now there is a lot of free play in the pedal like its loose. How can i get rid of this ? Is there a way to adjust the spring too.

the only way to adjust freeplay that i know of is to loosen the locknut where the pedal touches that sensor thing, rotate the sensor thing inwards, then tighten the locknut.
There are 3 sensors down there. The closest one with a 19mm(?) nut is to adjust free play. The one up top with a 19mm(?) nut is to adjust disengagement of the clutch, and the 12mm nut that loosens the rod on the back of the pedal adjusts pedal height.
if you need a picture or a full explanation, i can post pics of an article i found on it.

There is a rod that goes through the fire wall , attached to the top of the clutch pedal , loosen the bolt on it 12mm i think turn the rod like you were loosening it. the more you loosen the clutch will engage higher up from the floor. Then just tighten up that bolt. I did it to mine , i tried both i like to engage closer to the floor because im only 5'6.

hopefully this works; i don't know if imagestation will let me link this way.
Article out of what appears to be a Chilton manual or information from Chiltons. Don't ask me where I got it b/c i honestly don't remember. my clutch engages closer to the floor and the clutch height is even with my brake pedal, but beware: when making it too close to the floor and out of spec, shifting hard at redline from 1st-2nd may cause you to grind or miss. just my personal experience.

you may have to copy + paste in it the address bar or i might have to give a different link.
