So my 97 prelude sh will not run, it's fires right up if I spray ether in the intake so it's a fuel injector problem, it's got a fresh head gasket, timing belt, tensioner, water pump, i dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it, I have replaced the fuel pump and filters, replaced the main relay, bought another ECU (p5p) cleaned the injectors, new fuel rail, car has very good spark, timing is correct, and the damn thing will not run. I have done everything and changed everything I have been told to change and still nothing. I need help guys..

When you did the head gasket did you rememer to recheck all the connectors including the grounds in the harness? I doubt your injectors went bad because your car ran before you did the head gasket. There is something you are over looking.

I have double Checked everything, pulled all of the grounds cleaned them with a wire brush and reinstalled them, checked every vacuum connection, replaced all the sensors, taken off and reinstalled all the plugs under the hood, I am completely lost I don't know what else to try, I was hoping someone here has had the same problem and found the solution.

Of course there are memebers on here who have had the same issues as you but they figured it out by troubleshooting so the same exact thing you are doing. Have you checked your distributor coil and it's wire and plug to make sure they are connected? Id bench test the injectors or just test them with a multimeter and see if they are getting power.

Yeah I've checked everything, coil is brand new dizzy is good all the plugs are connected with fresh electrical grease. I bench tested the injectors with a 9v while I was cleaning them, they all worked great

And the injectors are getting power. I don't know how to check for pulse but I know they are getting 12v power

Can anyone think of anything else that I can try? Any other relays that control the injectors?

If it has such good spark and you have replaced the fuel items that you have are you even getting fuel to the injectors can you hear the fuel pump priming, have you checked the ground and or wiring on your fuel pump? I would start there and just work your way towards the front of the car.

Yeah, it's got plenty of psi at the rail, enough pressure to blow an injector clean off the rail when I had the injectors pulled out of the engine but still on the rail to turn the key over and see if they were spraying. This site is the last resort if I can't get it going from info here on honda-tech it's going to the scrapyard... I'm that done messing with it.

I would check all the fuses and go from there also, meaning the under dash box and the one under the hood. I would not give up on the car that fast just due to it not starting that is the fun part figuring out how it all works or what is the issue causing this. Hold on here you got a new p5p ecu for your SH, but did you get the ecu re-flashed with your key so it will start, the immobilizer inside the ecu allows that car to start every time. Try using the old p5p ecu that came with car originally and see if it starts.

It's not brand new, just new to me, pulled from a running 98 SH. The immobilizer on my car has been bypassed by the previous owner. If it wasn't, the car wouldn't turn over i would just have dash lights and the key in ignition dinger., I went through all of the fuses again earlier just to see if I missed any but they are all good. I am usually really good at troubleshooting but this car has be folded like a pretzel trying to find the problem.

Id say check your ignition components out. I'm out of ideas of what to check this is a super stumper.

Does the immobilizer have anything to do with injector pulse? The only other thing I can think of is the immobilizer is not bypassed correctly. For whatever reason there's no pulse getting to the injectors, but the 12v+ is. Fuel pump is new and working.. Does anyone know the emergency start brake code for the prelude?

Instead of bypassing it just install the original ecu that came with prelude if you still have it.

It's back in it, I don't have the chip key for the car just a fresh cut aftermarket key, the previous owner lost the chip key and "bypassed" the immobilizer.
