Seeking someone with Transmission experience
I have a m2f4 that is going into my 92 prelude with 93 jdm h22a.
can i take the VSS off my m2a4 and put it on the m2f4. because now that i think about it. the m2a4 has the wire that runs off the sensor and plugs into the plug thats on the actual chasis. the m2f4 tranny just has the sensor with no wire, just a port to plug something into it. the wire runs off the chasis. unless the wire is a 2 way wire that unplugs on both ends.
but im looking at VSS on ebay and i just see the sensor with a wire running from with in it

I'm not certain but I think the only issues you would run into is if you were using a vss that had a steering assist function on it. If not, then it should fit fine, but obviously you'd want to place it and check it.

Just swap them out and see what happens. The prelude obd1 vss has 3 wires running off it. One is a ground, the other is power and the 3rd is the signal wire for the speedo that also lets your vtec engage over 20 mph.

My issue with that ebay item is that it saus 90-93 preludes, accords.
Well Im pretty sure that honda didnt stop making the same vss for ludes in 93, they should be the same all the way to 96.
I found a different one to buy instead that gives a more accurate description

Yeah, I'm not sure why that guy thought you were going to buy one. You were just using that as an example for illustration purposes.

Re: Seeking someone with Transmission experience
So if I just take off the black part of the VSS and swap them over, it will work?
Or do i have to take the whole thing off right down to the gear?

Take off the two 12mm bolts that hold the top part to the bottom part. Be careful there's a drive link thing in between that rotates the top part. Take the other one and sit it on top and see if it sits properly. I think it should.
You don't need to remove the entire assumbly, no.
