Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Anyone? Checked compression today 230-240 on all 4 it takes a couple attempts to get it started when the motors cold but it stars and runs good but 5 min after starting around the time the thermostat starts opening its starts to hesitate or struggle to rev up also you have to give it some throttle to start when it's cold it will not start if u don't give it any gas when it's cold but will not start at all when at operating temp
Please need some ones help I have checked everything I know to check

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Just front end damage pushed the radiator in about half a inch
I've replaced cap and rotor 2 fuel filters ect temp sensor that's it also replaced icm and coil but it still did the same thing so I took them back 224$ no check engine light at all
If anyone could help on this one I dont know what else it could be getting 5 volts to all sensors they ohm out good its getting fuel and spark I think its getting to much air the top hole on the tb is sucking a lot of air

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Today I blocked the top hole in the tb cranks right up when cold now the fast idle valve is stuck open so when it warm up it surges fix that by blocking it off just temporarily till I can figure what's really not lettingvit start when at operating temp it's wants to run now since I did the block off in the tb when its warm it'll try to start for a sec but won't just pops it just turned over before I plugged that hole at operating temp so anyone could give me some ideas asap I'm up against a wall thank you

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Also I always have to give it some gas to start hot or cold but when it's barely warm it starts right up like nothing is wrong I don't know what to do??

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
The only thing I can think of is that somehow a ground got bumped loose in the accident or perhaps the fuel pump got damaged somehow. I would hook up a fuel pressure tester and point the gauge at you in the windshield and drive around and see what's happening with fuel pressure when it's not starting.

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
All grounds are clean and tight fuel pressure is 40psi while priming and 35 while running still will not start when it warms up

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Clean this is something weird it runs great when cold once it's started takes a couple tries to get it started when it starts to warm up about 2-5 mins after starting it starts misfiring and bogging real bad. It starts right up when it's barley warm like the 1 bar on dash but once it warms up completely it won't start at all weird thing is that when I first start it it runs good?

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Fuel pressure was 35psi the throttle body makes a very loud sucking noise blocked fast idle and iacv it's not as loud but it's still sucking air in the bottom hole in the tb idk if that would have anything to do with it I thought those should close when it warms up they dont that's y I blocked it off seems to help a little especially the idle

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Blocked iacv but the top left hole is still sucking a bunch of air all the time where is the air boost valve/starting valve

Re: 93 prelude h22a will not start at operating temp
Ok the idle screw uses that top hole
Just noticed something new yesterday when I checked the main relay it was good no cracks but when the car is running if I hold the rpm right below 2k like 1700-1800 and hold it there it won't rev any higher don't matter how much gas I give itjust Boggs real bad sounds likes its about to die only at that rpm does it do that revs fine from idle but still misfires could out these ngk laser cut platinum plugs in 4 months dry foul not wet foul

Tried that the other day with no diffrance the cat is gutted was one of the first thing I checked its idleing very low like 400 rpm with the idle screw all the way out? Don't know why it's idling so low ?

Yes Check Engine Light Codes: Honda 1990-1995 obd1 code retrieval
long blinks are for tens and short blinks are single digits, if it just stays solid then you have no codes

No codes it turns on for 2 sec. When u turn the ignition on then goes off
I checked the valve lash today it was perfect just did it 3 months before the wreck.. all grounds are tight and clean it starts first time and runs great even idles when I first crank it when it completely cold runs good right until the I gess the thermostat opens because it was running good until the temp gauge reached half way. Once its warmed up it starts to sputter real bad doesn't want to rev up it'll eventually die and not start up.....?

Checked today No codes cleaned the plugs and double checked valve lash I did a adjustment 3 months before the wreck...
It's starting on the first turn of the key and runs and idles good when it's completely cold once it warmed up to halfway on the temp gauge it starts to sputter and bog doesn't want to rev it will eventually die and not start back up??
