Default 92-96 JDM Prelude Retrofit

Sup everyone, I just wanted to post some pics of my first retrofit done to some JDM headlights. I'm actually pretty impressed for a first time attempt. These have TSX projectors, and they're fully adjustable. Let me know what you guys think.

is that messiness near the lens in the last pic just epoxy or did you have to slice up the housing there??

It's just messy from silicone that illusion lighting used . When I took the pics, I didn't seal them up, I just put the lenses on to show what it looks like. I cleaned up all that crap along the edges and used some headlight/taillight sealant from Nissan

This type of setup, I charge $800+shipping and that's all parts included(projectors, bulbs, ballast, labor)

Looks good. But I hope you aren't serious on the price.

I am...I probably have the best prices around. If you find someone charging less than me for the same setup, let me know, and I'll match or even beat their price.

That's a very nice job as always.. but I see that the projectors are mounted pretty far back. Mine are mounted just slightly further out than yours but I find that on mine, some of the light is blocked by the front bumper and to the sides. It's not very obvious but I'm just a stickler for perfection. I want to crack them open and mount the projectors even further out but I'm just too lazy.

I noticed you didn't hack up that back part. It looks pretty good compared to what I did. Though I agree that it looks to be a bit far back. When I did my retro, i cut off the first layer to the back so that I could clear the projector better. But looks nice overall.

damn man, that's a nice clean install... it looks like it's meant to be there. if you look at a plain jdm lens compared to thaht one... it's just awesome. can't wait to try mine.. do you have a link of a tutorial? i'll search for it anyways..

Great job , I think mine set a little further forward to now that I look at them. I can't believe there are so many people afraid to tear into the headlights. It's not hard, you just have to do it right, and take your time. That is where the price comes from, it is labor intensive to make them look great. I used a closed projector so I wouldn't have to put the flat piece in there. here's a pic so everyone understands what I'm talking about.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I don't know what kind of bulb and ballast setup are going with these lights cause they're not mine. I just had someone send me the lights about a week ago. I'll be send them back out to the guy today, and I'll ask him to send me pics when he installs them back onto his car

They do...All parts are included(bulbs, ballast, projectors, labor) but for the price I'm asking, I use BMW shrouds instead of plastic pieces like some people do. The BMW shrouds are kinda hard to find, and when you do, they're pricey. In this particular case, the guy I made them for sent me the lights, and they had E46 projectors in them. He wanted to upgrade from those projectors to TSX projectors, so I just reused the plastic pieces that illusion lighting had used. If you're wanting your lights to look like this and have the black plastic shrouds, then I would charge $750 instead
