88' prelude si...buy it?? [bought]
Car is in good shape but needs a head gasket. Are these cars fun to drive? Any aftermarket/ swap potential? I've had nothing but crxs in the past. Don't know anything about the prelude other than it looks cool. Any information would help. Can get the car under $500. Should I?

It doesn't run but the body is in good shape. Has a blown head gasket and idk how much those are to fix. Its a yellow 1988 Honda prelude si.

Check for rust everywhere, especially the rear arches, and the front corners of the roof.
If the car is a 4ws model, it would be good to make sure that that system is all there and working right.

If you want to know what aftermarket is available then contact me. I am the only small businessman who supports this car for the most part.
I am also still an owner of this chassis since 2000.

Sean is for sure a great resource for the 3rd gen cars, and as he said, has done quite a bit for developing/ maintaining an aftermarket for them.
If you have a bit of space and time, doing an H22 swap in that car would be great fun!

Ok will do. First I'm gonna get the head gasket fixed and drive it for awhile to get a feel for the car. Im new to the prelude world and won't know if I wanna keep it until I get to drive this thing. Id probably be interested in a motor swap down the road if i decide to keep it def. Thanks Sean.
