Lets hope the datebase restores... it will be a sad day if the sites data is lost.

Just thought i would mention it here since this is the prelude section and i know many of you guys are regulars on that site.

Yea, they have a message up when browsing the domain name that hopefully a week-old backup will be restored by late this evening. Maybe this will enlighten them to keep daily backups instead of just weekly, and possible going to concurrent backups.

they do keep daily backups. but it backed up while the server was down. I don't think they'd keep multiple daily backups would they? So probably the last daily one was dumped before they caught that it was down, and it backed up them being down. So it reverted to the weekly backup.

I'm sure they'll get it back, just sucks to lose a weeks worth of progress

As of 9:51 PM EDT, PreludePower.Com is alive again, a week old, but alive.

Righto, their daily backup should have been separate backups -- not over-writing the daily backups and then securing the Backup only weekly. At least, that's what their message implied. As implied, they do a One Day Backup, and then a Weekly Backup.

But yea, I entered a couple lengthy questions this past week. Oh well, I still no what I have that isn't right, lol.
