Default 1990 Prelude Fan Issue

I bought mt son a 90 Prelude. Great running little car, but the fan comes on as soon as you turn the key off. It runs until it kills the battery. Sometimes, you can cycle the key on then off and it will stop. I am at wits end on this one. Any idea's?

Mine only runs for 10 minutes. I had a parasitic draw from my radio when I first got it, and I thought it was the cooling fan too.

Sounds like the fan timer in the fan control unit is bad.

Well if I'm not mistaken I beleive that the fan motor is signaled by the ECT. Because mine will shut off at a certain temp "Which takes about 10 minutes"

You are mistaken. Greatly. In fact, there isnt anything in your post that is correct.

Then would you mind explaining it to me? I have a 1990 Prelude. My electric cooling fan does not turn on until I reach a certain temperature and does not turn off until it falls below a certain temp. Most of my mechanical experience is with motors that aren't transverse mounted and use fan clutches. I'll be ther first to admit electrical is not my strong suite but doesn't keep me from the pursuit of knowledge on how things work. If only had my Honda about a month now and haven't gotten a chance to tinker with it like I used to since I have a kid and work full time. I appreciate the fact that your weren't a d-bag about the post.
